Modern Dream Homes: Shaw House

March 21st, 2010

Article on ChicTip
shaw house
The swimming pool was built above ground, along with the residence’s other private areas, such as the bedroom, with the general living areas built at or below ground level. As Vancouver is a risk area for seismic activity, the notion of a pool situated above the home’s main living areas presented an architectural challenge that required the house to be built entirely out of reinforced concrete.

Finger Power!!!

January 3rd, 2010

Very interesting concept that I found on design(dot)fr.
Basically when your mobile device run out of battery, you simply remove it from the back of the phone and give it a few good turns around your index finger, then it could gathered enough power to last you a conversation or a safe trip to your charger and electric point. Sweet!!!

Freeband – The Ambient Life

ambient life
Freeband Communication and IIPIC share a vision of the future: a world in which information and communication technology render one’s surroundings into a thinking and caring environment. The results of the Freeband Communication research program should be visualized in a compelling film. I approached the material using infographics to explain the vast quantities of data. To create a relationship with the continuing technology the film starts with a minimalist introduction in a narrow color spectrum and gradually transitioned to an abundant, multicolored world.
