Personally I’m not a super fan on Adobe Illustrator, I seldom post illustration on my blog, but I think it’s worth to post this tutorial by George Coghill on Go Media Zine. It will walk you through the steps from sketch to vector – scan drawing, apply action in Photoshop, create vector paths by using the pen tool and vector art tools, in creating an original cartoon-style character vector illustration.
Freeband Communication and IIPIC share a vision of the future: a world in which information and communication technology render one’s surroundings into a thinking and caring environment. The results of the Freeband Communication research program should be visualized in a compelling film. I approached the material using infographics to explain the vast quantities of data. To create a relationship with the continuing technology the film starts with a minimalist introduction in a narrow color spectrum and gradually transitioned to an abundant, multicolored world.

Create parallax in Flash CS4 is much more easier than before, all you need to do is create different objects inside a movie clip, and then change the Z-index of those objects in the 3D Position, once you move the movie clip, it will give you the prospective of 3D space…cool!!! Without the Z position (in CS3), you have to apply different formulas to different objects on the stage so the objects kind of move in different speed.
Here’s an example I created for Sebastien’s Flash Development 1 class.
