Flint Particle – Sparkler

March 30th, 2010

Using Flint Particle to create a sparkler effect when mouse over to movie clip, pretty cool effect and it doesn’t take a long time to create it. Most of the time people find that Flint is hard to play with (compare to other particle system like Pulse, Stardust and Emitter) because you have to deal with all the parameters, but once you get used to it, there’s more possibility within that system. I’ve been working on the DD Blog banner almost a year ago and follow the Flint online tutorial to create the snow particle on my blog, now I try to do more experiment with the tool. I think it’s not that difficult and I do agreed…it takes time to learn and get used to the system.

Web Design in China

March 16th, 2010

Article on Smashing Magazine

China is a country with five thousand years of civilization. It is a multi-national entity extending over a large area of East Asia. China’s cultural influence extends across the continent, with customs and writing systems adopted by neighboring countries including Japan, Korea and Vietnam. China has gone through numerous ups and downs and twists and turns, from wealthy and prosperous (as during the Tang Dynasty back in 618–907 AD) to powerless and colonized (as during the Qing Dynasty, just around 100 years ago). Now China is reopening its door to the world again, embracing the latest trends, concepts and technologies, the World Wide Web being one of them.

March 1st, 2010

Logos represent the brand image, traditions and origins of a company. It is not just a visual badge on the car’s bonnet but represents what people think about the brand and the cars themselves. Create vector twitter bird from scratch

January 9th, 2010

twitter bird
Personally I’m not a super fan on Adobe Illustrator, I seldom post illustration on my blog, but I think it’s worth to post this tutorial by George Coghill on Go Media Zine. It will walk you through the steps from sketch to vector – scan drawing, apply action in Photoshop, create vector paths by using the pen tool and vector art tools, in creating an original cartoon-style character vector illustration.
